When you hear the word "Eco-Friendly" you immediately think saving the planet but some people also hear "expensive".
Creating an eco-friendly atmosphere at home does not have to break the bank and cause you stress, you can start taking small steps and gradually change things around as you go.
In our home, we are always looking for eco-friendly products we can switch too to decrease our waste in all the things we use. From the little things such as re-usable straws to things we wear. Small changes can make big differences.

Here are some of the things you can change at home to reduce your carbon footprint by reusing household products or using eco-friendly items:
Change things up in your bathroom. Items like tooth brushes, dental floss, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap and even your shaving razor can be switched to Zero waste alternatives. Use soap bars, stainless steal razors, bio degradable dental floss and more.
In the kitchen, you can start by using re-usable food wraps and storage bags, you can use re-usable sponges and dishcloths, coffee filters or K-cups can be re-usable as well or if you want to take it a step further get a small kitchen compost bin.
If you want to make your bedroom eco-friendly try decorating with plants. Using plants will keep you away from purchasing items that will not be easily recycled. You can also shop previously loved pieces and decorate using thrifted artwork or décor. Use recycled furniture, organic bed sheets and change to eco-friendly light bulbs.

4. Make Laundry time eco-friendly as well by changing to Laundry sheets instead of Laundry detergent. Brands like Tru Earth offer eco-strips to wash clothes in fresh linen, baby scents and fragrance-free.
These dissolve in both cold and hot water and work perfectly in all washing machines, including HE. Front loads or top loads. A change like this helps keep 700,000,000 plastic jugs out of landfills per year. We love using Tru Earth products at home and have their laundry strips stocked in our home. Check them out for laundry strips and other eco-friendly products https://www.tru.earth/
5. When it comes to pantry food items and other household items you can choose to shop at zero waste stores. If these are not close by you can choose products that use eco-friendly packaging.

This might not all seem like much but every small step you take to make changes can benefit in the long run. Remember we only have on Earth to look after. Let's do our part to leave this Earth in better conditions for the future generations to come.
I hope you start feeling more confident as you take on these new changes and understand that finding the right brands and resources is very important.
Cheers to a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle!
