If you are like us and love celebrating all week or month long before a Holiday then keeping easy to make at home bites and crafts is something you always have in mind.

This week we not only tackled Cookie decorating but also took on 4th of July themed bites and crafts that are easy to enjoy making with the family.

Take a look!

Red, White & Blue Deviled Eggs

You will need:

1 dozen eggs or 1/2 a dozen depending on party size.

Mayonnaise or you can also use avocado if you can't have Mayo.

Mustard

Relish

Red, Blue Food Coloring.

2 tbsp. Vinegar

Salt/pepper to taste

Ziplock baggie

Remember that the mustard and relish can be added as a side preference.

Directions:

  1. Put the eggs into a saucepan and fill with just enough water to cover the eggs.

  2. Boil the eggs on medium high heat until the water starts to come to a hard rolling boil.

  3. Once at hard boil, remove the egg filled saucepan from the heat and let the eggs remain in the hot water for around 10 to 12 minutes.

  4. Remove the eggs with a pair of tongs and place them into an ice water bath. This will start to cool them down. Leave them in the ice cold water for about 10 minutes.

  5. Take the eggs out of the bowl and dry them off gently. Gently crack the shells and peel.

  6. Once the eggs are peeled, cut the eggs in half and scoop out the yolks and place them into a medium sized bowl.

  7. In a separate small bowl, add about one cup of water and one teaspoon of the red food coloring. Stir the mixture together. Repeat process with the blue food coloring. Then to each bowl, add a tbsp. of white distilled vinegar and stir the mixture together.

  8. Decide how many egg halves you are going to make red and how many blue and white.

  9. Then, one at a time, place the egg halves into the color of your choice. Let them soak for a few minutes until they get the color you desire.

  10. Remove the eggs and let them dry on paper towels.

  11. While the eggs are drying, break down the yokes with a fork and add ingredients to taste. For the Mayonnaise add to the texture desired.

  12. Prepare the ziplock bag filling it with yolk mixture. Press the air out of the bag, cut the end and proceed to fill each half of the egg with the mixture.

  13. Arrange the Red, White, & Blue Eggs as you wish on your favorite platter and serve

.
