Long and voluminous lashes are the IT thing now a days. You see it everywhere! From lash bars to applying fake lashes on, conditioning treatments, pricey mascara to curl those lashes to the sky...lashes are in!

Long lashes are seen as a sign of beauty in many cultures, that is why many women tend to seek extension treatments and different ways to enhance their lashes and how they look.

Now a days lash treatments can range anywhere from $60 and higher every couple weeks to every month depending on your Lash tech and their experience.

I have always wanted long eye lashes and have tried before to use fake ones but without any luck at making them look on the natural side. Plus putting on fake eyelashes and taking them off can have a downside. Eye lashes take about 7 weeks to grow after they fall.

Don't get me wrong, lash extensions are beautiful and truly make your eyes look fuller but if your budget doesn't allow you to spend over $60 monthly on esthetics or you are looking at a more natural and economic way for your eye lashes to grow i might have an answer.

After much research on natural ways for eye lash growth I decided to make my own eye lash serum.

This serum is made with all natural products so I am sharing what is working for me.

What do you need?

1. Empty mascara tubes with wands.

I used the ones below from amazon which come with little funnels for easy fill.

2. Organic Castor oil.

Castor Oil (16oz) USDA Organic Cold-Pressed, 100% Pure, Hexane-Free Castor Oil - Moisturizing & Healing, For Dry Skin, Hair Growth - For Skin, Hair Care, Eyelashes - Caster Oil By Sky Organics https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0186U9736/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qOALCbQMVMJ53

3. Cedarwood essential oil and Lavender essential oil. I use YoungLiving. www.youngliving.com

Directions:

Once you have all your ingredients, grab on of the empty mascara bottles, place a small funnel on it and add 4-5 drops of each essential oil mentioned above. You will then use your castor oil to fill the rest of the mascara bottle. I leave a tiny space towards the end to make sure the mascara wand goes in without overflowing the oils.

Use this lash serum every night after washing your face and night time skin routine. Make sure your eye lashes are clean. Be cautious and do not get oil in your eye.

I will post my progress as the weeks go on!

Hopefully you can try it at home and tell me how it is going!
